Administration

Celia Banuelos serves the students at Palmer-Laakso Elementary as Principal for the 2024-2025 school year. Mrs. Banuelos has been part of the Los Fresnos CISD family since 2006. During her career in public education that began in 1999, she has served as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal.  Prior to being a principal, she was a kinder and 5th grade teacher in BISD. She then continued her career in Los Fresnos where she served as lead teacher, instructional officer, assistant principal, and currently principal. She attended the University of Brownsville where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree and her Master’s degree in Educational Administration. 

Mrs. Banuelos has a passion for leadership and is now starting her 15th year as principal. She is a supportive leader who is here to listen to the needs of students, families, and staff members. Her hard work is the foundation for their achievement.
Graciela San Roman serves students at Palmer-Laakso Elementary for the 2024-2025 school year. Mrs. San Roman has been part of the Los Fresnos CISD family since 2010. During her career in public education that began in 2007, Mrs. San Roman has served as a kindergarten, second grade, fourth grade, and coding lab teacher. Prior to her current role, Mrs. San Roman was the Instructional Officer at Dora Romero Elementary since 2022. Mrs. San Roman received her Bachelor of Science degree and Master of Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at Brownsville.
