Mr. Francisco Hernandez serves the students, parents, and staff at Palmer-Laakso Elementary as Principal for the 2025-2026 school year. Mr. Hernandez was first part of the Los Fresnos CISD family in 2008, and then again in 2022. His career in public education began in 2008 as a substitute teacher and as a Student Teacher at Los Fresnos CISD. Mr. Hernandez has served as a Social Studies Teacher, as an Elementary and Secondary School Counselor, and as an Elementary Assistant Principal and Instructional Officer. Mr. Hernandez received his Bachelor of Arts Degree with Teacher Certification from the University of Texas at Brownsville, a Master’s Degree in Guidance and Counseling, and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
Gabriela Paredes serves the students at Palmer-Laakso Elementary as Assistant Principal for the 2025-2026 school year. Mrs. Paredes has been part of the Los Fresnos CISD family since 2016. During her career in public education that began in 2016, Mrs. Paredes has served as a 6th grade Reading Language Arts and 3rd grade teacher. Prior to her current role, Mrs. Paredes was a third grade teacher at Dora Romero Elementary since 2024. Mrs. Paredes received her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies degree from Texas A&M University-Kingsville and her Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Lamar University.
Mrs. Graciela San Roman serves the students at Palmer-Laakso Elementary as Instructional Officer. Mrs. San Roman has been part of the Los Fresnos CISD family since 2010. During her career in public education that began in 2007, she has served as a bilingual teacher, coding lab teacher, instructional officer, and assistant principal. Mrs. San Roman received her Bachelor of Science and her Master of Education in Leadership degree from the University of Texas Brownsville.
